Postive Consensus from the committee on the Sexuality Studies Minor
The committee suggests simply referring to the "core" list of courses as the minor's list of courses, (take out "core") and group or subdivide the courses for coherence sake into areas.
Perhaps "Counseling/Education"; "Historical Perspectives", "Reading Sexuality in Culture" or some such.... and specify that students can choose 10-20 credit hours in any of the groups. This would assist advisors, students, and any future development of the minor.
Instead of referring to the remaining list of courses as "Electives" create the second list as "Topical Courses: Need coordinator's approval when chosen topic is appropriate; no more than 10 credit hours from this list".
