2. Program Assessment presentation from FTAD- Alan Kalish & Teresa Johnson

i. intro of effective major program assessment:

ii. MAPS’ level of assessment: internal consumptions of individual departments in MAPS

iii. asked FTAD to review current MAPS departmental assessment plans

                        - would be helpful to see successful assessment plans

                        - FTAD and MAPS will have future meetings to work together

iv. FTAD can assist faculty data collection in various forms

 

3. Math major change—approved with contingency

            i. intro of proposal. Q&A: night classes, class enrollments, topics added- new topics in the disciplines, student passing rates of exams

            ii. Concerns: a. course descriptions on the request forms are the same for all three courses, should be more informative for the students

            iii. concurrence from Finance, a statement of FIN 614 removal for concurrence

            i. intro and rationale of the course

            ii. Q&A: typically for juniors, pre-reqs, useful for job marketability

            iii. concurrence from CSE and at least one other department of target student groups

5. Concurrence issues- New electronic system of curriculum process
