Administrative

Sciences Subcom sent back email to Pfister.1 1/26/09 res:

  1. Presentation of evolutionary theory and biological sciences is a concern
  2. Framework in agriculture is not conducive to discussion of natural selection, but the condition of artificial selection is a wonderful contrast in Animal Sciences that makes for an interesting discussion, but they don’t produce both sides; especially evident because they have not changed the syllabus topics
  3. Why are natural selection, speciation or Darwin not mentioned specifically especially since this is  a GEC course?  Students should have a general understanding of this to be considered a GEC in Natural Sciences: Biological Sciences
  4. Explicitly lay out where these issues are treated; otherwise it is not a GEC course
