Administrative 4-8-10: J. Fredal sends subcommittee feedback to B. Brueggemann (bv): “The proposal sent forward to the CCI to have English 367 and H367 (.01-.05) count for the GEC category Diversity in the U.S. was sent back to English for revisions.  Specifically, versions .03 and .04 were felt to insufficiently address issues of social diversity through the syllabus readings and assignments. Also, the assessment plan, while in some ways admirable, did not address how the Diversity requirement would be assessed and how this assessment data would be used to revise the course in the future to maintain its fulfillment of the expected learning outcomes under the Diversity in the U.S. category.  The Sciences subcommittee of the CCI welcomes any future revisions to the proposal for further consideration.” April 13, 2010
