1. Inclusion of the statement “Special Topics and Other Courses:

        Students may petition to use Special Topics, Research, and/or other courses when the content is relevant.  Check with advising as to the appropriateness. Students may petition to have courses approved that are not listed on this sheet.”

        The committee felt that this would encourage inclusion and flexibility for students and perhaps help to grow the course offerings in the minor over time. There are several other minors that include this statement.

2. Removal of ENR 347 from the foundational Arts and Humanities section as well as the Arts and Humanities Perspectives section. The committee felt that this course belonged in a category that aligned more closely with the course content. Several options were discussed, from dropping the course entirely from the minor to developing a new category.

• Friendly recommendation to consider increasing environmental content (or make more explicit) in this course [Comp 272] as a foundational course in this minor. Committee can identify only small amount of environmental topics in it.
• Add Art 300 and Art 353 to above concern. Recommendation to remove Art 353. Is this a skill relevant to Env Citizenship? Couldn’t any methods of creative production course be part of Env Citizenship?
