1.Graduate/undergraduate status of the course (5000 level) should be reflected in the content of the syllabus. (This can probably be addressed via point 2 below.)

2.Syllabus not detailed enough: for example,

  • graded assignments should be described in detail;
  • schedule should include further information about reading assignments (page numbers, etc.) and case studies. Specifying only the plays is insufficient when the course is about historical differences in the productions, not Shakespeare’s text.
