Request to replace the adapted statement (“As we examine the art and visual cultures of the African continent and the African Diaspora, we will achieve an understanding of the pluralistic nature of institutions, society and culture in the Africa and the African Diaspora. Students will learn to critically evaluate written texts and visual sources, placing them in a broader historical context.”) with stated goals for each category.
