Dear Pat,

Thanks to you and to Kevin Tavin for the detailed response to our concerns about Art Education 255.  I appreciate your efforts to clarify the rationale for the course, and your willingness to distinguish 255 from a course we already offer by changing the title to "Engaging Visuality: The Power of Seeing and Being Seen."  After consulting with my colleagues, I am now able to withdraw our objections to the course.  Indeed, I hope we will have occasions to collaborate on the further development of visual culture studies at Ohio State.
