Dear James,

Please deliver the following message to the colleagues
at your department:

Thank you for your interest in the newly proposed
Korean 656.  The title of the new course will be
changed to:

"Korean 656: Interdisciplinary Topics in Korean
Politics and Society."

I feel, however, providing at least a few courses in
Korean history at OSU is long overdue, and may I
depend on you to seriously consider providing for this
need especially for students pursuing the Korean
undergraduate major and the Interdisciplinary East
Asian Master's Degree program focusing on Korean
history?  I'll be happy to assist you in any way I
can.  Thank you, and Sincerely,

Chan E. Park
Associate Professor of Korean,
Director, Korean Studies Initiative,
Committee Member, Interdisciplinary East Asian
Master's Degree Program.
