Concurrence | Date: Fri, 13 Apr 2007 16:35:36 -0400 From: "John E. Davidson" <davidson.92@osu.edu> Subject: Re: Fwd: korean 655-sample syllabus 2 Hi Jessica -- Film Studies has no objection to the course. It could not become part of our major list, but might, on ad hoc occasions, be accepted as an elective. That would require a petition from a student with supporting materials. And, of course, it might be counted as part of many conceivable focus areas -- the possibility of fulfilling part of the course's requirements by making a short film would make this potentially attractive to some of our students.
Best,
John

Concurrence | Jessica,
The current syllabus looks really very good, and we support it fully. I noticed that the generic title is still "Interdisciplinary Topics in Art, Music, and Theater," and so would only ask that, if the course takes on a much more strongly art historical bent and becomes a regular offering, we be asked again for concurrence. (I assume the Music and Theater Departments might also want to be asked for a concurrence if the drift is in their direction.)
Many thanks,
Lisa Florman |
