Concurrence | [This course had a different proposed number at one point during the process, 356.02. The below concurrence from History refers to that number. I can assure you that this is indeed Comp Studies 357. 12-4-07 kmh] [e-mail from June 4, 2007] Dear Jessica, This email serves as History Department concurrence for CS 356.02, "Introduction to Globalization and Culture". The Undergraduate Teaching Committee of the Department of History has reviewed the proposal for CS 356.02. We feel that the course promises to be extremely interesting, and we are pleased that a humanities approach to Globalization is being included as one of the core courses in the new major, Globalization Studies. We would also like to repeat our understanding, which derives from discussions with Comparative Studies, that this course will not fulfill the proposed GEC requirement for historical study. Sincerely, Jennifer Siegel Undergraduate Studies Chair Department of History |
