Dean Adelson will preside over the meeting and will briefly speak on Curricular Enhancement Grants for Program Support for OSU regional campuses. 

Anthony Mughan will attend to discuss the International Studies Major Proposal

Elliot Slotnick will be present to discuss Interdisciplinary Curricular Enhancement Grants

International Studies

 

• More information is needed on the Statistics Requirement.  Recommendation is that Statistics 245 be added or an alternative course in the SBS.  An example ex is Psych 320. 
• The list of additional Science courses can be increased and advisors could approve additional science courses as well
• Courses in the Biological sciences could include Micro-biology
• Alternatively there could be a course in CSE course on Compute Security
• Letter of support about courses of development in the specific tracks
• Positive Consensus concerning thematic tracks in the major
• Concern about the area tracks
• Approval of area tracks for application courses
• Language has to reflect information concerning how it will be for a B.S. as well as the B.A. 
• Linda Schoen and Ed Adelson shall meet with Tony to go over revisions. 
• Interdisciplinary Grants

• Currently half of the program is complete
• Graduate Minors are currently being orchestrated
• Approval of Dean is needed for support

 

Curricular Enhancement Grants (concerning Stories of Native Ohio )

• If this is to move forward a letter of support is needed from the American Indian Studies Program. 
• Information would be needed on how recordings could be used

 

 

 

Media Production & Analysis Minor

 

 

 

• Concerns about seat availability and if there will be limitations on enrollments. 
•  Concern about conditions in which students shall apply (does a student have to have minor status to take courses)
